We tend to overlook things...
Things which we have seen on the streets but ignore them
Thinking they are cheating
But we Failed to realized that there are still people Begs for food...
It was on the 15 April where the MBA students of Hospitality and Tourism decided to help this particular group called the Pertiwi Soup Kitchen. At 1st, none of the students knew about this Pertiwi Soup Kitchen thing until the day arrive..
The Students from KDU met up at 142 Jalan Maarof (Bangsar) at 8.30pm as their meet up point. As the lecturer briefed them about how it was found and etc, two volunteers came and explain what are the do's and don'ts as they were about to face various type of people such as drug addicts, rowdy's and so on...Join in by the founder of Pertiwi Soup Kitchen name Mdm Munirah but as the students just addressed her as Aunty Munirah. Her Age? 61 Yrs old! But Works hard!!!
Okie! Back to the topic! These Pertiwi Soup Kitchen does is that to distribute food for the Homeless people and how these PERTIWI Soup Kitchen being managed??. It is managed by Pertubuhan Tindakan Wanita Islam Malaysia in 2010 with the support of Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja and some individual sponsors.
And they went off to their 1st destination which is located behind of Tune Hotel at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.. As they approach there, Tonnes of People were there!!! waiting For the food
So basically, this how it looks like!
Not sad yet? wait till you see the people who eventually comes and takes from them.
So as the students set up the 1st station, Many beggars which you may not even bump into them also will be there... To see this crowd.. it just makes things more sadden as we are so futuristic but still there are poor people... Who are homeless, Jobless, guys with talent wasn't given a shot..
Not only here.. There are few other stops but the same things to be expected..
